Damn Yankees.............

What ever Lola wants, Lola gets. etc..... Damn Yankees is a fictional story about a Washington Senator Fan that hates the NY Yankees so bad, that he makes a deal with the Devil to become this outfield superstar that helps lead Washington to the pennant. The role of Joe Hardy (played by tab Hunter) is a 22 year old power hitter that will break all homerun records and lead Washington to the series. The problem is, Joe Hardy is really a mid-50's Senator fan with a wife and kids.

Back in 1956, when the broadway musical was popular; critics were making comparisoms between the musical and the 1919 scandal. But I think, a closer realistic comparisom can be made today with one Barry Bonds. Barry "I used the clear stuff" Bonds.

When Barry self-admittedly used the "clear stuff" to enhance his career, he wasn't just dealing with now encarcerated BALCOR members, but he was in essence, a 50 year old Joe Hardy selling his soul to Satin. And like Joe Hardy, BALCOR enabled Barry to hit like a 22 year old the rest of his career, breaking everyone's homerun records, including his godfather's, Willie Mays. Unlike the story of Joe Hardy, who sees the downside of the cult (he missed his wife and kids) Barry saw the down side of being on the wrong side of the law. (see 2003 grand jury testimony) In 2004 congress looked into the Steroid scandal in America's favorite pasttime. Barry Bonds's trainer and associates found themselves in prison for illegal drug (steroid) sales. So in 2005, Barry found himself in need of surgery. His surgeon, (my former boss) became the scapegoat for a surgical related "infection".

STOP.

The OR was cultured and nothing was found. Usually when an infection occurs, bacteria related to an infection is found. Ask any ambulance chaser. It's not that hard. But this OR was clean.

Now think: What do steroids do to your body in addition to preserving it's muscle tissure from deterioration? It also freezes your immune system. The system in your body that fights off attacks from common bacteria. Something called "normal flora".

Without making any accusations that can get me invited to appear in court; I would think that the reason Barry missed all but 14 games of the 2005 season could have been "immune system" related.

Which brings us to the closing scene of Damn Yankees. Joe Hardy, the young power hitter is standing in the feild when "poof", he returns to being a middle aged fan again. He runs off the field never to be seen again.

Spent the weekend............

Reading Steve Pavlina's blog. He's trying to become a popular speaker in the self-help world. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about; He's trying to get in there with Stephen R. Covey, Tony Robbins and Matthew Kelly. He's got some very entertaining stories. His self-improvement tools, or suggestions are very, very well thought out. Like most modern "speakers", he has his own words for the principles discussed by Stephen Covey, but he does a great job of communicating them in a pragmatic use.

Although I completely disagree with his "meaning of Life" Idea, I think that he's firing on all 8 cylinders when it comes to his talks on self-discipline and clarity.

Give him a look see Steve's Blog

Your letters have worked..........

The latest that I've heard is that the congress wants to ivestigate "Port-gate" as it's being coined. If you have a democrat representative like I do, they'll jump all over the chance to make President Bush look corrupt. The problem is, for everytime these leftist weasils cry Wolf, a very small percentage of it actually merits investigation. Let's hope that this contract is resended. From what I've learned, the company from the UAE bought the English company that had the contract. Myi question is, how and who at the treasury department approved this madness and why do they still have a job?

Write your Senator and congressman

While the whole country has Dick Cheney's shotgun shoved in their faces, an even bigger threat goes unchallenged. 6 major ports in America have been handed over to the United Arab emarates for management. WHAT? the UAE has been directly linked to Al Quaida and global terrorism. IS THE BUSH ADMINISTATION THAT STUPID? I'm afraid so. Write your representatives for a hearing now.

Valentine's Day "Flashback"

This is an excerpt from a blog I wrote on 7/6/05:

"I love you." "Let's make Love."" Mom sends her Love."" He did it out of pure Love. "

One word that can change your life, the world and their futures. Love comes in various packages as you can see. People do things under the assumption of Love without even knowing what Love is. Does ANYONE know what Love is. Is Love different from True Love? Then what is False Love? Allow me to Pontificate:

LOVE has had 3 words used to communicate it.

1. Eros (coming from the greek term Erotika) This is a strong desire. Often confused with lust. Eros is used commonly with sex. The Bible uses the term covet. (Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife) Yet it's been my experience that the true meaning of Eros comes when Sex is the physical manifestation of Spiritual Unity.

2. Philia (or a fondness) Philia is the rootword for the city Philadelphia. Or; the city of "Brotherly Love". This is a deep concern for another's welfare without the sexual investment. It does however; require a personal interest in that person. (ie, that person gives you something in return for your concern) It could be a family member, a next door neighbor or just a pen pal. The point being, you have developed an affection or concern for that person's well being. It is almost a "quid pro quo" type of Love. Unfortunately, many marriages operate at this level. "I Love you" because you make me feel good about myself. The mutual concern for the other's best interest is a form of security. However, when the other's concern doesn't match our expectations, then we lose our feeling of security and the "Love" grows less as we see Less in our "returns". The whole concept of a relationship based on expectations is flawed. I think the term "Like" is more appropriate. As kids we "Like" things that are sweet or stimulating. When we grow older, we have a deeper concern for our weight and dental health. Our likes and dislikes are subject to change. Does Love change? Can you ever STOP loving something? I challenge that if you truly Love something or someone; the bond is permanant. If it appears to break, I would question the validity of the original feelings. This makes it very possible to Love someone and not Like them.

3. Agape (pronounced ~ AH- GAH- PAY) This is the Love that makes you devine. It defines God's Love for Man (the sinner in particular) And Man's Love for God. It also defines the altruistic Love man shows for his fellow man. Such was the nature of the "Good Samaritan" in Luke 10:25-37. Such is the motivation that encourages us to stop and help a stranded motorist.

The Key to Agape Love is that we do it with no expectation of anything (not even gratitude) in return. We do it because it gives our life meaning. We give Agape Love because it is the only true way we can immulate God. We do it because we want to hope that someone else will do it for us someday. We do it because it pleases God. We do it because it separates us from the Animal kingdom. We do it because it makes us "Good People" This should be the Love that guides our lives, our marriages or relationships and above all, our existence.

I'll be damn.............

I remember watching a movie in 1983 about the French physician/profit Michele de Nostradamus. The movie was interesting because of all of the predictions it claimed had come to fruition prior to the filming of the movie. Remember, this was filmed with Orson Welles in 1981. The movie talks about how Nostradamus predicted 3 anti-christs.

1. Napoleon
2. Hitler (whom he almost calls by name. He refers to a "Hister")
3. An Arab with a blue turbin. (WWIII)

But I recently found my copy of this old movie and thru it on the vcr. Let me tell you just how scarry accruate or close, his visions were between 1981 and 2006.

1. The only massively wrong prediction (Thank God) was that he made referrence to the possibillity that Ted Kennedy (The youngest brother) would have his chance in 1984. He had successfully predicted the death of John and Bobby 400 years before. He even predicted that the 2nd gunman would be in the "misty forest", a referrence many experts consider to be the "grassy knoll".

Now the ichy scarry predictions.

1. He prdicts an mighty earthquake in California in the year 1988. I remember this was sort of the beginning of people talking trash about Nostradamus when the quake didn't hit. Lo and behold, 10 months later the Loma Prietta quake devistated the Bay Area.

2. He says that we would be attacked in 1999 by the middle east. His referrence would indicate New York. He even said, we would be attacked by air. Many of the experts felt it would be a nuclear war. This was to prompt the beginning of a 27 year war with Islam. As it turned out, it was 2 years later that "Air" craft would fly into the world trade centers.

Nostradamus was off, but not by much. He predicted Mount St.Helens. The starvation in Ethiopia. The Tidal wave in the indian ocean.

He goes on to say that the war with Islam will end when the two countries that meet at the polar cap (US/Russia) join forces to defeat Islam. Afterwards, he predicted a 1000 years of peace.

He also predicted that the world would end in 3797.

Arnold doesn't get it.............

What made Ronald Reagan great was that he "WAS" a cowboy. Arnold just plays one in his movies. Ronald NEVER EVER would have pandered to the left the way Arnold is. He doesn't see appointing Susan Kennedy as wrong in the eyes of republicans. He doesn't see that he's alienated himself from his fundamental support group.

Instead of hiring a flaming liberal Lesbian as his chief of staff; Mr.Reagan tried to get prayer legalized in school. Ronald achieved greatness by NOT TRYING to compramise.

This musician vows to support whichever conservative that runs against Arnold in next year's election.

ACE vs. The Terminator, or Governato...... ummm Arnold

I finally got a response from the Office of the Governor of California. I wrote him a scornful, scathing letter of rebuke in regards to him selecting "Susan Kenedy" as his chief of staff. For those of you that aren't aware, Susan is the president of the west coast chapter of NARA (natioanl Abortion Rights Association). She's a flaming lesbian.

This is not the republican Governor I elected. I told Arnold that if he didn't reconsider his choice I would support his opponent next year in the Governer's race. Arnold responded saying that he didn't care which party he belonged to, and that Kennedy shared his vision for California.

So begins my crusade to oust Arnold from the governor's office.

Hezbollah Leader to Bush: 'Shut Up'

OK, it was bad enough to listen to Charletons at the Corretta Scott King funeral "Bash" the President. And the "slimey, low down, two faced, HYPOCRISY of left that lost their minds when President Bush used 911 as a re-election promo, claiming The President used "Death" to push his agenda, can stand there and 2 feet away from a dead body and talk about "weapons of mis-direction". Then Clinton gets up and introduces his wife as the next president of the United states.

Enough of this left wing audio garbage. Now, taking a page from the Corretta King funeral play book; Hezbullah leaders in Lebannon told President Bush in his statement asking leaders to condemn the violence of Islam to "Shut Up". They are encouraging the violence until an apology is issued.

I have your Apology Hezbollah:

Be very very afraid.....................

With Hamas being elected the party in control of Palestine, and the president of Iran pushing aggressively for nuclear arms; the timing of the uprising over this Danish cartoon charicature is no fluke. Islam is testing the west to see how it reponds to an Islamic upheavil. The riots in France, I believe, were also, a test to see how liberal Europe would respond. Ultimately, Islam is preparing to assault the west. As I've written many times before, the achilles heel of our country is the pourousity of the southern and northern borders. Both parties are to afraid of losing votes to stop the massive influx of aliens into our country.

Ya think I'm talking about just America losing jobs to Mexicans? Hell no. It's a fact that 90% of the arrest warrants issued for homocide in LA county are for illegal aliens. Of all of the arrest warrants issued for "felonies" 70% of them are for illegal aliens. So they're not just here to work. They're here to work us over.

Many security experts understand how Al Quaida has no problem working with MS13 (a ruthless gang from el salvador) to try and smuggle weapons of mass destruction into America. As we learned with the attacks on the world trade center in 2001, our enemies are very patient. We're talking "manchurian candidate" patient. It is not unbelievable to think that Bin Ladin money would finance an otherwise povertish village in south America just to raise it's own fleet of suicide bombers.

All of this is going on while Idiot liberals are worrying about the NSA overhearing conversations about their pot plants being grown for personal use. And Black demons have the stupidity to use Correta King's funeral as an opportunity to bash president Bush.

People, Be ready. Pray that someone in Washington is watching the borders. We are living in very dangerous times.

Day after the Souper Bowl...................

OK, I gave up caring about the Super Bowel when Jerry Rice left the SF 49ers. So my enthusiasm for yesterday's "BIG GAME" had much to be desired. John yap yap yap Maddening was a GREAT COACH, but him combined with Al Michaels made the mute button work a little over time. BUT............

Didn't the Rolling STones kick some serious Butt yesterday? I mean, there was no obnoxious P.Diddy/Britney/Jessica blah blah blah to ruin it. No costume malfunctions. And of course, no Aerosmith. Personally, I think they could have cancelled the 2nd half, and just let the Stones play the whole 3 hours. Then again, 3 songs is all the stones can probably get it up for these days.

Fong Wong and The Golden Dragon, 1977

Fong Wong, 48, born in Mainland China, was a cultured man who had emigrated from Hong Kong to the United States in 1969. Five feet, nine inches in height, he was taller than the average Cantonese, but of slim physique. He had left a wife and seven children behind in order to make his way more easily alone in the New World. He went first to New York and worked as a waiter, moving next to Los Angeles, where he ran a take-out food business. An accomplished cook of both Cantonese and American cuisine, he was, as well, a talented musician. He played the violin beautifully, his taste inclining toward the romanticism of Brahms.
Reaching San Francisco in 1973, he found ready employment as a waiter at the Golden Dragon. Living quietly, soothing his loneliness with his beloved violin, he saved money and sent for his family in 1976. One daughter had married and remained in Hong Kong, but his wife and the other six children, ranging in age from 10 to 18 in 1977, joined him in America. He welcomed them to a cozy flat in North Beach, above a Chinese noodle factory. With only two bedrooms, it was much too small a place for a family of eight, yet it was more than merely a place to live; it was a home. He filled it with music; his family filled it with love.
As industrious as her husband, his wife went to work as a baker in a fortune-cookie factory. His kids went to school, the older ones taking care of the younger.
Fong Wong gave of himself to everyone. Many of the Golden Dragon's customers became his friends. The boss was very fond of him, as were his fellow workers. He had been working seven days a week since the death of a colleague from cancer two weeks before. Nothing seemed too much for him to do, if it were of help to others. "He was very harmonious," an employee said of him.
When the shooters entered the Golden Dragon, he had been working nine hours already that day, running up and down the steps to the mezzanine, whose tables he helped to serve. He had waited on Donald Kwan, Calvin Fong, Robert Yuen and the other girls and boys crowded around that booth and table.
He had not served the gangsters who sat across the aisle from the kids on the upper level. The restaurant was so busy that night, the waiters were required to attend to several stations instead of staying with their regularly assigned tables. Thus, as it had fallen to Fong Wong to work both levels.

With less than ten minutes left on his shift; bullets from rival gangs flew taking the life of Fong Wong and 4 other innocent victims. 4 Gang members would be tried and imprisoned for the murders. San Francisco's economy would take a nose dive. And 8 children would become fatherless.
