My first record ever.........

I was about 4 years old when my mom bought me my first record. It was a 78rpm ep by David Seville and the Chipmunks. It had "The witch doctor" song on it and of course "All I want's a Hula Hoop" I was a Chipmunk fanatic back then.

The 2nd record I ever owned?

Now for those of you that didn't get a chance to see the induction of the DC5 into the Hall of Fame. I will bring it to you over the course of the next 4 days.

STARTING RIGHT NOW:

Higher Self, Spirit Guides, Guardian Angels......HUH?

Well, yes, I think I am aware of their existence. As I mentioned in yesterday's blog, your higher self is the best version of you. That's sort of a quote from Matthew Kelly's book "The Rhythm of Life". He is always saying that we want to strive to be the "Best version of ourselves" Some would call that "Your higher self".

Spirit Guiedes: Supposedly, your spirit guides are non- physical beings that you got together with before you were born, and made deals with them to help you accomplish the purpose you had chosen when you incarnated. (incarnation is something I'll discuss at another time as I don't believe in "reincarnation" as many of the new age hokus pokus teachers want to teach.

Guardian Angels: Yes, I believe they do exist as so stated in the Bible. I know they have helped me numorous unexplainable times.

Jesus Christ: God incarnated as man. Not just God but a part of the Holy trinity. As John writes in the beginning of his Gospel:"In the beginning was the Word,(Christ) and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God.

I firmly believe that the way to the kingdom of heaven is ONLY through a relationship with Jesus Christ. All of your Spirit guides and Angel friends will help you here on earth, but on the other side, you will STILL stand in Judgement.

God. The great I AM. No words can describe God for nobody has seen God. Unlike John Lennon, God is not a concept to help us deal with our pain. Unlike the new age theosophers, God is not the source power or greater power. God is God. God is I AM. God is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. (everywhere, all powerful and all knowing)

Scientist dismiss God because they can not prove the presence or existence of God. As I have said to many scientists: "The inability to prove the existence of anything does not disprove it; it only proves one's ignorance."

God is God.

Your Higher Self

Your higher self is the perfect version of you. And from what I've gleened; he/she lives in spiritual form in the ether or "other side". I'm new to this but I'm not new to the concept of Angels, (no not the ones from Anaheim) Spirit guides and the Higher self.

I know and thank God for my guardian Angels. I've had them bail my ass out many times "almost literally". One night on Bethel Island I was forced to blow an official breathalyzer test. I made one of those emergency hotline request of an Angel to interceed on my behalf.

I blew an 0.799999 ha. Thank you Gabriel.

I'm learning more about spirits incarnating into the fetus and at what point abortion becomes murder. Email me and I'll share my beliefs with you.

I believe that we come into this world with a purpose. We ALL have a God authorized purpose. And there are spiritual entities that have contracted to help us.

You think I'm crazy don't you.

Well, We'll all know in a hundreds years won't we?

Obama ~ Yo Mama.......

It's so easy to tell when a political candidate is lying. uh...well.... uh... I.... can't actually say..... uh..... that .....uh..... if I knew....uhhhhhhhhh

Barock Hussein Obama -2 Words- Game Over

America doesn't want a president that was raised in a church that Hates America and White people or any race but African for that matter. People with integrity don't run for president when they have skeletons of Hitler and Kadaffi in their closets. The most interesting question I heard this weekend was "Who released the videos?" I'm betting it's member of the Clinton Campagne.

Fox news was absolutely brilliant last night with a panel of "Democrats" discussing the story. Democrats handle this sort of thing with such hate and anger, and Fox put Ari Fleischer (former Clinton press Secretary, in with a Democrat Strategist and an editor from the Washington Post. It was the best Pitbull fight I had seen in years. I think even Alan Colms was a bit embarrassed to be a democrat last night.

It will be an ugly site to watch the press (who loves Obama) look for ways to cut him down to size and send back to his slum lord clients.

I think at the same time, since the prize is just the Democrat nomination, we should expect to see "Whitewater"/"Lewinski"/"Vince Foster" come out in High Definition before the Pennsylvania primaries. (If Barock doesn't resign) Some say Barock should resign from the senate.

Personally, I'm sad to see this happen as I enjoyed the vitriol between the 2 candidates. It was better than Ali vs. Frazier. Democrats play mean and nasty. Who knew they would eat their own with such furociousness?

Maybe Joel Lieberman?

Dreams Do come true

I'm sure being a succesful comedian and actor had much to do with it. But mostly being a lifelong Yankee fan was the most important part of making his dream come true. Billy dreamed about being a Yankee since he was a kid. He produced the movie 60 in memory of Roger Maris and Micky Mantle.

I only wonder WHY in the movie city slicker, his character is a METS fan? But in "When Harry met Sally; he is found on the phone in a Yankees Jersey. What really impressed me in WHMS was that in the batting cage, Billy is "Switch hitting" and he's making solid contact.

Way to go Billy. Never give up on your dream and Happy 60th Birthday.

ACE ANDRES DOT COM NEW AND IMPROVED

OK, after years of using the same template format at AceAndres.com I decided (after several requests) to update the website and bring it into the 21st century. If you haven't been there yet, visit www.AceAndres.com . All I can say is that it looks like a sterile SONY website with the exception of my beautiful Goldtop Wolfgang guitar. She's georgous.

The rest of the site is pretty much the same. I am however; working on a Gear page that will show you musos how I get my tone. (sort of, you gotta figure out the knob settings yourself)

Anyway, I hope it's not a let down.

The DAVE CLARK FIVE HALL OF FAMERS

It's official. They made it. One must ask, what the Hell took the Hall so long? When you think of the crap that was allowed into the Hall before them, It makes you think "The Academy Awards". Something I quit watching 20 years ago. Same with any of the "Awards Shows". About the only award show that IS worth a damn is the S.A.G. awards. Because these awards are given out by members of the Screen Actors Guild. In other words, fellow actors. Not uhmmm writers.

Anyway, I thought it was appropriate that Tom Hanks inducted the Dave Clark Five. Perhaps he can sign Dave, Lenny and Rick to a Playtone contract.

A shame that Mike missed it by 2 weeks. But he will be remembered and loved. Someone said it was streamed on-line last night. I guess I'll have to wait until the 22nd and watch it at 11:00 at night on VH-1.

Congratulations DC5 . It was long overdue

PS. Now can we work on getting Robin Trower in the hall?

I'm Back.....................

Sorry for the hiatus. But many of you know how I have issues with abandonement. The death of Mike Smith is just another layer of my tragic youth being stripped away from my concious life. I know (not think) that the older you get, the more it bothers you when your peers, friends, relatives or heros die.

Even when a pet dies after a certain age, it's much harder to let go of.

I've often felt a kindred spirit with John Lennon and Art Alexakis as we all came from shattered families. John wrote of his angst and effect of divorce of his parents in the song "Tell me Why" . The line that hits home with all children of divorce at a young age is the line "If it's something that I said or done tell me what and I'll apologize". Most children think it's their fault that their parents are no longer happy.

Art Alexakis from Everclear has written several songs about breaking up and the effects on the children. Just listen to "Father of Mine" or "Wonderful". Art hits the nail on the head when he says in Wonderful "I don't want to meet your friends, I don't want to start over again, I just want things the way they use to be. I don't want to hear you'll understand someday, I don't want to hear we've both grown our seperate ways. I want the things I had before like a starwars poster on my bedroom door"

Unfortunately "The Media" meaning television and magazine glamorizes the split family. In the 60's divorce was a shameful scar on everyone. The collateral damage done by divorce is even worse today because we have so many ways for our kids to live in denial.

Then when the product of divorce turns 21 he's so starved for the family that he lost that he clings to the first person that shows him affection (notice I didn't say love) All of a sudden the foolish grown child thinks he can relive an Ozzie and Harriet world with someone that just wants to party all night long. Of course they've got to have 2.5 kids so they can pass the torch of divorce on to them. It's an endless reciprocating cycle of disposable relationships.

The answer as always is personal accountability. Starting with the children of divorce. If you can counsel these kids into understanding that marrying ASAP is not going to bring thier parents back or make things the way they use to be, then you'll have people marrying for more of the right reasons. And if that happens, perhaps, they'll understand the importance of staying together and not perpetuating the cycle.

As Blink 182 says in one of their videos "50 percent of all marriages end in divorce" and at the end of the video it says "50 Percent of all marriages stay together"
